I have a 95 eagle talon. Some upgrades but nothing major. It has a lightweight under drive pulley. Found 'class 2' oil leak on back side of engine. None above head gasket or front side. Oil dash indicator lights when I am stopped and car is idleing. Some have suggested bad oil pump. Any comments, Eagle drivers!

did you recently do any work on the car just before it started leaking?

Yep, month ago had a stage 1 clutch put in it. It didn't want to shift properly at first but it has smoothed out.

Who did the work? Sometimes when new leaks occur its because someone didn't put something together properly. Tranny work however is a little unlikely. Turbo AWD? There is a bolt on the back side of the block that screws in right by the rear balance shaft. If this bolt is removed somehow it will create a big leak.

Do you think it could leak from the relief valve on the oil pump. The oil leak may be coming from that direction and that idea goes along with no oil above the head gasket, too.

take non clourinated brake cleaner, soak the hell out of where its wet(oily)

let dry, dont start car till all is evaperated or (boom!!!) :D then run it and u should see where it gets oily again!
