ive got an auto diff and i wanna swap to a 5spd diff...is it possible to split the inner cv joints of both rear ends and the axles would line up with each other? like would the auto shafts fit into the 5spd cv housing on the inside? because its gunna be way to hard to pound out the axles from the hubs, i would just like to separate it at the inner cv joint housing instead. anyone know before i go an try it?

yea i figured wth ill just take them out and compare. so i lined up both diffs next to each other like cv housing to cv housing and the auto cv housing is about an 8th inch bigger all the way around. so whatever i guess ill just have to put the other axles in, was hopeing i didn't have to mess around with pounding axles out of hubs. but it worked out good.

This all could have been avoided, if mitsubishi had pulled their head out of their as sooner, like how the evo's didn't come automatic until the most recent model... lol awd + 4g63 should never include the words "Automatic". You could be doing a 35r swap instead of an auto to 5 speed swap, but noooooo effin mitsubishi lol Glad to hear you got the tech info you were looking for
