I bought a 97 spyder gst. Auto trans was bad so I picked one up locally out of a 96; guy said it worked perfect when he pulled it.
When I pulled the bad trans there was a 4 pin plug that was hard wired into 2 of the sensors on the trans so I had to cut the wires. I went to the junkyard and got a plug (wire colors were different but I tried to make sure they were wired correctly).
I installed the new trans along with the tcu that the guy gave me. The trans doesnt shift right at all. If I accelerate it downshifts and it wont shift at normal rpms.
Id like to think the guy didnt screw me and the trans is good. So I'm convinced my wiring that plug in is the issue. Anybody have wiring diagrams for 97+ auto trans harness and 95-96 auto trans harness?
Or any other ideas would be great. thanks.

check that out. I would also assume that wiring is your issue.

^thats common in the 2gnts and nothing to be alarmed about.i think it has somthing to do with the fluid changing direction inside the tranny. sorry to derail a bit
