96 tsi

I just got a 96 tsi with the 6 bolt swap, and when car is cold it runs fine then once it is warmed up it sputters like its missing almost. any ideas would be great

verify that your plug wires are swapped and you have confirmed that base timing is 5* BTDC. I would also change plugs and check gaps.

plugs and wires are fine. Is it possible a bad boost leak? car wont rev past 3500 rpms now and blows black smoke out exhause and sounds like its running on 3 cylinders.

If it was a bad boost leak, chances are it would be running lean and cutting out due to that, but the black smoke suggests that it's running rich.

I am still leaning to your ignition system and/or base timing. How did you verify that the wires are good? Are the wires grounding out anywhere?
