My friend has a gsx that was sitting all winter, he replaced the fluids and started the car and its blowing white smoke at idle, sounds like it has a bit of a miss fire. When driving the car it's fine but I didnt boost it because we needed to move it to his new house.
This is what I know:
It leaks oil, most likely the main seal and/or oil pump housing gasket
The turbo was replaced from a blown 16G to a stock t25
The turbo probably wasn't isntalled correctly from what I can see, I havent taken anything apart yet.
The car has boost leaks.... Judging from the way the car runs probably big ones.
I am sure that the head and head gasket are fine, the block is fine including internals. This issue started after the turbo replacement so I'm headed in the direction of uninstalling this turbo, checking the seals and shaft, and most likely replace it and install it correctly.
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions other than a shot turbo and boost leaks. I'm pretty sure that's what it is but only a disassembly will let me know further.
Thanks!

valve stem seals, and if this is a 6 bolt swap make sure to check base timing.

You can check cam timing either way to verify that everything is lined up and ok.

Sounds like you got it under control though :)

Not a six bolt swap, unfortunately.. but I drove this car a couple times before the turbo swap and the car was alright, there wasn't wrong with it. I am almost certain the turbo swap was done incorrectly/ bad turbo being as the t25's like to blow faster than a crack whore. so I am going to try to transport this car to my garage somehow and start the turbo rebuild/replacement
