im swapping in a 4 bolt rear and i need to know the size of the nut that holds on the axle cups. i dont have a socket that fits it and id rather not go and buy a bunch of them.thanks.

the one to get the axle nut off? I use a 1-1/4inch

its for the rear axles not the front. after you pull the rear axles and look into the cup theres a big nut holding it to the inside of the rear hubs. i would have assumed it was metric. but if it works. ill give it a try.

pretty sure every bolt on a dsm is a 10, 12, 14, 17, ocasionall 19, or 1 1/4 "6 point"

just found out its a 27mm. i dont think theres any american size bolts. theres also 22's,32's,

21=13/16, 22=7/8, ,19=3/4 usually close enough to work, soon as it leaves 19mm area its free game what ever u have layin around the garage!

Don't forget 13=1/2, and rounded anything=adjustable/vice grips :-)
