I have a 1998 GST Spyder for sale.

Ill give ya the bad right away.

Bad:
- It has a belt squeel when it is cold.. It does it when you start it up.
- Has a couple little dings.
- Its lowered 2.6" and would need a camber kit. (Doesnt have to have it, but will help tire wear if you get one...)


Good:
- It has a 14b turbo on it, which is off the 1st gen DSM, can handle more boost then the stock T25 turbo..
- Been lowered 2.6"
- Boost gauge/Air fuel gauge/ volt gauge (Volt gauge isnt working right now.. Might be a wire disconnected not sure.)
-Put 4 new shocks on when we lowered it.
- Altenator is about a year old..


More about the car.

Its black with a black top.
Grey leather interior. (Not very common color combo)
about 120,000 miles. Not sure of exact milage, I dont really drive it much anymore since winter came..
Its an automatic. (No missing gears)

Price: $4,500. Blue Book range is : $5,500 (Fair) - $6,800 (Exelent)

I would say it is inbetween good and fair condition.. If you want to look at it just let me know.

Good deal. If it was a 5 speed I'd be on my way down right now. I really miss my spyder!!!

I think in a few years, I will find a spyder and do an AWD conversion. This sould acctually not be a bad car for an AWD conversion as you need to change the tranny anyways

ya.. I had some problems with it a couple years ago with the tranny going into limp mode.. After about $600 later, I found out it was a wire disconnected in the back of the fuse box.. Pissed me off.. We flushed the tranny fluid like 4 times. After we would try something else, it would fix it for about 100 miles, then start doing it again.. Anyways. Its been fixed for over a year now and no problems with it since..

No and no.. I dont have any compression numbers. (I dont mind if you do..) Havnt really had the need to check the compression since the car runs good. And It doesnt really get drove much in the winter, and I dont think there is really any rust anywhere on it...

you got me really considering buying a spyder. I think I'd like to find a near stock GST spyder 5 speed. put some rims, lower it, and then use it for a daily driver in the summer.

Or if i find an auto for a really good price, that could the the hot ticket to an AWD conversion.

NOPE! The girlfriend is pulling a loan for the rest of it this weekend! Everything looks like a go! I'll pm you the details later. Hopefully it will still be available for us to pick up next weekend.

After I fixed that boost leak and driving it again.. That old guy got a hell of a deal..

I cant find the title for it.. So im gonna have to stop at the dmv after work in madison.. I hope the time will still work, but I might have to meet ya in the dells.. That would actually work better for me, if that works for you..

Well car was picked up at HLM this morning from its new owner.. And he was VERY pleased, We both went to advanced and bought plugs wires oil and filter and new alt belt and went to the shop and changed everything and cleaned it and its like a brand new car..

Thats good b/c it sat just about all winter.. It needed it.

But ya the car was a really nice car.. Has a few little things but nothing serious. Glad he likes it!

btw, im looking forward to a ride in that new evo ;)
