ok i was fixn somones !@#$ up on my engine, the guy before i had it snaped a exhaust manifold bolt off (damn) then decided he could drill it out (easy)
then he drilled it crooked , and im not talkin little crooked way off so bad it leaked coolent, so now im stuck with it i already ported (mildly), 272 cams, crower titanium valve springs and retaners, i did get it not to leak but i cant crank the header tite because theirs not good treads(i dint want to go any deeper)

so does any one have a good ported (profesionaly) 1 or 2g head

would a 2g b better??? even not ported??? with 272 cams

i have a 2g head with a bent valve

2g heads are better designed and 1g heads have bigger ports, generally stock to stock the two heads will be similar but a slightly modified 2g head will perform far better than a stock or similarly modified 1g.

Also if the jb weld holds up then no biggie, some of the old v8s (mopar I think) had exhaust studs that went right into the water jackets the situation didn't cause much harm except that occasionally when the car got old they would leak and you would have to change your exhaust studs. The biggest thing to worry about though is water getting into the manifold, your turbo will REALLY REALLY not like water in it and if it actually makes it to the bearings then it can not only destroy them but drain into the engine oil and destroy your rod/main bearings also.
