just picked up a 92 gsx auto. its stuck in limp mode. when i picked the car up it was leaking fluid out of the lines and the cooler. replaced all the lines hoping that would fix because it needs pressure. still got nothing i check the fuse in the fuse panel, i took the tcu out it looks good. doesnt smell to bad. also who ever owned the car did some rig job wiring for the sensors on the trans. i re-did what they have going and still nothing?

I redid the wiring cleanly when I owned it. And it shifted perfectly. So someone must have messed with it after I sold it. I'm curious, what did you all redo?

There is a way that you can test the tcu to see if it has any codes. Id tell you how but I dont know I just remember reading about it. I know itp sells a book that tells you. If you were closer id let you try my tcu.

hope that works for ya otherwise it could be a shift selenoid from what I have read. I had a similar problem with my 1g.

well got the new tcu it works great so far but i have only been able to run for about 5 min till i found another problem. one of the wires to the alt. popped off the wire connector. so my battery isnt getting any juice. any one know if those two wires can go together on one connector. there the really 2 skinny wires that go over the alt terminal.

anyone know if the yellow and green wire coming off the alternator harness is supposed to go to the alternator?

on 3 things in that area that it could go to.alternator (where i think it goes),the power steering pump and the oil pressure sender

I believe one might go to the AC power. I always rip my AC out, and I always have an extra one floating over there.
