Sluggish on take off

I just got a 1997 eclipse spyder gs 2.4 sohc automatic. The only thing done to it is a header. The problem with this thing is if you are setting still and floor it the motor just kinda bogs till the tach hits 2600 rpm. once it reaches 2600 rpm it will run great. any idea why its doing that?

im not to familiar with that engine but i would add some timing, but watch for knock with a scanner of some sort? give it a tune up also it may help?

I have changed the plugs, wires, fuel filter, and air filter.
