A/R is area/radius. The area of the inlet on the exhaust side of the turbo divided by the radius or the distance from the center of the outlet to the center of the inlet. To give you the short version bigger A/R more horse power more top end but you get slower spool and more energy to spin the turbine.
Smaller A/R faster spool, less horse power less top end.

with that said. You can get different a/r with different trims. Depending on your goals and what else you have into the engine. Me personally I wouldn't get a 50 trim without it being a ball bearing.

Evo 3 16g turbo is a little better version of the big 16g. I believe a bigger compressor wheel and a different exhaust housing. Well worth the extra 50$ you spend to get it. Harv at beyond redline is getting 420 whp with a evo316g

this car is prettymuch my child, ive got so many projects, got this one , the
2g, buddys cars, girls car, house, fixin and sellin cars,o-yeah did i say house .
so it may be a wile before i get one, just want som input , ive never had a turbo that wasnt a 16g(besides my new one)

50 trim on 2g is ok but way to much lag.

what does 20g spool at ,what kind is it

Try a t28 for your 2g, if you're not going to be maxing out the 16g then the t28 will probably be faster and almost guaranteed to be more fun to drive considering the quick spool and you already have a drag monster in your 1g so it really should all be about being fun to drive.

Also I believe the 16g is a 58 trim and the evo3 is a 60 trim but I'm not sure.
