one more to dsm world

I finally got my friend to get a dsm, but it needs work i think it may be a flywheel or somthing in that department?

if you try to start it the starter grinds like its not hitting it all the way,
if you push start it it dosnt do nothin,like no engine spin, exept right as you dump it it will spin just a little,almost enogh ,but then just starts to spin free again. ???? it seems like a broken flywheel or crank HA that would suck

oohh you also can spin the flywheel with your hand underneeth the car,

we only spent a little time lookin at it, we will tare into it after the wrx is done

any ideas????????

Could just be the starter.. Pull it off and check the teeth.. Spinning the flywheel with your hand eh? That doesnt seem right. There should be more tension there then that.

i figure its just a flywheel, like the bolts sheered off or it cracked? but you never know
ill probaly work on it this weekend

yah. ill be able to fix what ever it is, once i pull the thing and look at it,im just wondering if any 1 ever seen anything like it, its weird

ha its bad their was a je piston sitting in the pan o-well time to go 6-bolt, hes buying one of mine out of my garage
