Ok the 2g gsx runs great, but every once and a great while I will get on the car. It has full power the car is at stock boost with bolt ons like k&n intake, greddy hard intercooler piping upper and lower, hks bov, pacesetter dp and thermal cat back, but I feel a very very slight stutter in the power around or near 5k but will continue to climb and I never ever go to red line. Plugs maybe? No lights on dash, plugs maybe have 15k on them. The plugs are iridiums from ngk. I believe it does it in 3rd or going into 4th.

Its the plugs, get rid of the iridiums.. My car was doing the same thing and it got worse and worse as time went on and I couldnt figure it out.. 2fst-gst as a last ditch effort to figure out what was wrong swapped my plugs out for regular ngk's and the car ran flawlessly..

I changed the plugs at 60k when I got the car, and now it has almost 75k. So the iridiums huh wow, what ngk is recommended, the stock coppers, or do I need to worry about heat range too? The front 02 is new when I changed the turbo at 60k cause it was bad. The wires are orginal, but they seem ok. Idk I guess Ill change them and see what happens.

recommended for a 2g bpr7es, and yes just the standard ngk's are perfect. Make sure you gap them (.28) I believe but double check that.
this issue is all over the ecmlink forums, i realize not everyone has access to that forum though
Hope it works out for you!

.28 is correct...and 6 is recomended for stock boost, but if you want ur egt to go down use bpr7es

the six's are reccomended for 1gs and 7s are for 2gs and ur suppose to change ur plugs every oil change if you were to read your owners manual... they recommend every 5000miles change oil and plugs and then wires every 25k i think or 20k to replace wires

Ive never heard of changing plugs every oil change, wtf whatever I guess Ill check the owners manual to see whats up. I cant believe ngk iridiums make that much of a difference. Jw today when I was in chicago going to court, I was taking a u-turn going slow i think still in first, then got a little bit of speed, and all of a sudden the car jerked all crazy. Idk what happened, I dont believe I hit red-line. What could of caused that, I wasnt in any boost at all. The car ran before and after beautifully. The car only has 75k on it, and the new motor has 15k. Please give me some advice with this, thanks.
