I really only understand the first two posts. I'm guessing he was looking for an answer cause he had a 90 trans laying around but it just turned out to be a cable alignment issue?

u will need a new flywheel cuz ur starter will not touch the fly wheel 90's have a bigger bell housing bigger wide and deep clutchs are the same in any dsm but u will need a 97-99 7bolt flywheel if its a seven bolt (original motor) or a 90 flywheel if its a six bolt im assuming a 95-96 flywheel would work but from what i understand the trans are different (not a two g guy) so idk if 95 or 96 would work...i no the 97 and newer will thats what i used on my 7bolt build on my 91 with a 90 trans...
