i bought a 6 bolt block from a friend that came out of a 91 gallant vr4. it has 2k miles on the rebuild. it has 2g pistons. not sure of any of the specs. but it ran good in my friends car. anyway. it sat for 4 monthes on a tarp in a garage. nothing covering it. just sitting on the ground. well i put a 1/2 inch rachet on and tried to crank it over. didnt budge. hit it with a hammer ( the rachet ) broke it loose. but its not loose like it should be. technically speaking you should be able to move it by hand correct? no head on it or anything. today we took off the rod caps? not sure exactly what there called.but we made it so the pistons could move freely. anyway. we spun it with no pistons thinking it was maybe the crank bearings. but its not that either. might i add. the pistons are hard to move. like hammer is needed to push them up and down. no rust in the walls. no rust at all. what could this be?
