any one have any ideas on a relitively cheap turbo that would put out more than my evo b16g and 272 cams built motor

Not always the cheapest option, but I think you'd be very happy with a BB 50 Trim or higher...

Check with Forced performance. They have an 18g i think that is suppose to have spoolup like a 16g. Otherwise look for a Ball Bearing 50 trim turbo or something...

what is cheap to you? forced performance green turbo is a really good bang for the buck and will give you more top end.. what is your hp goal?

Didn't you just get the car running a couple days ago? What psi are you running on the 16g and what supporting mods? What engine management is being used? I guess I'm asking if your getting the full potential out of the 16g.

I was referring to fuel system, FMIC, ect when I was asking for supporting mods.

Probably going to want larger injectors. I was running 650cc at 100% duty cycle running 23-24psi on a 50 trim last summer. Also the 255 is going to be working awfully hard to make 500. Might be able to do it with a boost-a-pump or you might want to throw a Bosch 044 inline.
