I can't figure out how to hook this beast up right. The online manual for it says to hook my purple wire to my cars ecu speed sensor but it's a 92. Do they even have a speed sensor. I hooked it up where it said to anyway with no results. And i have to turn it on after the car is running. It should do this by itself. Well, one of my problems i think it could be is i don't have power to any of my dome lights of a solid 12v to my radio. To store memory. can this be my issue. I picures are needed i'll post them.

When you turn off the car if the parking brake is up and the wire is attached to it.

Yes 1G's have a speed sensor. It's in the speedometer not in the transmission. It comes out to pin 11 on the DLC as well as going to the ECU, cruise control and I think the TCU on an automatic.

Save yourself all the trouble and get the harness! That way you don't hack up all your wires either, besides it's like 7-15 bucks last time I was looking a few years ago :D

The reed switch is your speedometer. Pin 18 connector C-66 on the ecu (the big one). It says YW for a wire color whatever color that is.
