Sorry for the non dsm related thread guys.
My friend Nick owns a Honda and I can't seem to figure out why it's not powering the fuel pump.
The old wally 255 was caked full of white gunk and that led me to believe that's why the pump failed. He purchased another Wally 255 off of eBay and I installed it for him today. Well to sum it the fuel pump still has no power.
I've checked the main relay which is still good and every single fuse in that car. Every thing is still good. I pulled the plug off of the fuel pump and had him turn the car over as I checked for power with a test light still nothing.

What else could I look for guys?

Car is a 1995 honda civic ex.

Keep tracing it back to the ECU. Get a wiring diagram and find out what/where it gets voltage from the pump. If you have power at the fuse...you have a wiring issue.
Test lights are good for diagnosing bulbs and little stuff. Get a volt meter and do voltage drop tests.

Still sounds like a main relay. Start kicking the drivers side of the dash when you try to start it.

No.

Actually check all the fuses again. My buddys car did this and he knows more about Hondas then me but he missed it for some reason. It was on an ef though but it was a fuse under the dash that was labeled ecs or something weird like that. The walbro pump is too big for the stock Honda fuse so it blows it. But you should probably check them with a test light or a dvom cause the visual inspection isn't always reliable. And make sure the keys on so it has power.

But remember they had a 255 in there and it worked before? so im guessing check the wiring on the pump and the sending unit.

They don't always blow right away but is a 10 amp fuse so it'll happen eventually.

did you try jumping it? why does he need all that fuel anyways wouldn't a 190 suffice? maybe he just likes the whining like his girls lol
