anyone ever use a universal remote oil filter, like a universal one off jegs or somthing, im woried if i do move it up near head light it may drain back and have dry start up unless a check valve is in it??
any thoughts?? i need room for a big down pipe

Most oil filters have valves so they won't drain back too quickly. Some company makes an oil filter housing that puts the filter straight forward but I can't find them right now.

the ones that point forword dont have cooler holes so i cant use it

So drill some holes and weld some fittings on. I've never really had any downpipe clearance issues.

got a picture of your setup? custom manifold i'm assuming? what turbo? There is usually plenty of room for downpipes.
