Aight.. Everything is in, the car fired up.. There is a little lifter tick, which I think will go away once the motor runs a while and gets some oil everywhere.. But the rpm gauge, doesnt seem to be in sync with the motor. You can rev the motor and the rpms dont go up very much at all on the gauge. Also, it doesnt seem to have good response when you step on the throttle, which I think it may be a boost leak somewhere, not sure, I wasnt the one driving it. This is just what I was told. But I need some thoughts on the rpm thing, also, the 1st gen cas, how do you know how to adjust that so its right?

nothing?
The RPM issue might be a bad transistor box. The little black box on the intake manifold next to the coil pack. That controls the tach.
1g CAS, its pretty much just like a distributor. Throw a timing light on the crank, adjust the CAS until you are at 5* BTDC. Tighten it down and you are good to go!

Don't forget to ground the timing plug under the hood near the battery, or use DSMlink to ground it.

There is a connector on the wiring harness near the battery. It is not connected to anything and has a cap covering the pin of the connector. Remove the cap and hook a jumper wire from the pin to a ground. Do you have a FSM? You should be able to find it in there.

oo.. Never heard of that before. Is that because of the 1g cas?
