:D She made it further then down the block haha.

Yah it runs great. Ill have to order some hard piping soon.

LMK when you replace your evo fuel pump. I could use your old one.

The galant would look tits like that!

Adgbiking... check with VPT for nice hardpiping for the car

Yeah Dizmm... let me know when we're ready for an IceCreamPaintJob on that beast and some rally graphics to get it up to par with the rest of the rally world!!!

Are you going to increase the power of this beast? ..Or did you already? :D:D

well currently its running 9ish PSI. I may go up to 13-14psi. My last rally event my coolant temps were getting a bit on the high side. I need to add some cooling ducts and probably a hood vent.

No, what you really need is a spoiler, some "streetglow" lights, and a hood scoop. OH yeah, and some NAWZ.......

9psi on a low compression motor? What sort of rules do you have to abide by for your class? Not that power is necessarily the deal maker in the dirt but I just wouldn't be able to stop myself from throwing DSmap or a custom burned chip in that ecu with some injectors and going to town on it.

oh i dont plan on running 9psi forever. I hope to run 14psi. Just need to get other things all running first.

Mork, you should post up more info on DSMap, I've heard of it been never gave it a try.

You have a vr4 so you should already have an Eprom ecu. I started looking into it because some of the guys running DSmap were interested in what I was doing with SD on the evo ecu. AFAIK I was the first person to run SD with the evo ecu on a 2g and I was the easy link to information about its implementation and they wanted me to join their anti-dsmlink fan club which I wasn't interested in doing since I've never run it.

The system itself is one of the most intensive rewrites of stock ecu code that I'm aware of (besides dsmlink) with complete timing and fuel control along with a number of other goodies. The major drawback is that you don't get DMA logging or dsmlink style logging so you're limited by the sample speed of a pocketlogger though they've written their own extension for one of the logging apps that makes it a bit nicer for tuning SD. It is an SD-only system so if you're in a class that requires you to run stock-style air metering then it isn't for you. I guess you could leave the MAF on and cheat but I think that's quite dirty. I'm not sure what else to say, but DSmap is very nice from what I've seen even though the community is IMO incredibly weird and a bit hostile to certain things (dsmlink). They also have a llama/werewolf theme that is a bit odd but I imagine that is just what you get when you have incredibly geeky people working on a coding project.

I will have to check if my ECU is an Eprom. My galant isnt a real VR4, its a 90 galant GSX with a complete 1g turbo motor swap. I'll have to do some reading...

Well I may be picking up a full rally ready DSM. So I wont be needing this gaylant. anyone interested? $750, runs and drives. Last night the clutch was slipping on me. Not sure if it just got glazed but worst case it would need a new clutch. If anything this car would be great for parts. Motor seems in great shape.

I have a couple of questions about this car since you are selling it, how does it handle on pavement? Plenty of pavement potential? How strong is the gsx rear end? The same as turbo/vr4 rears? What about rust? For a car like this I wouldn't be looking for anything perfect but I would consider it for a winter car vs the Jeep so I don't want parts falling off. How is the gas mileage?
