Also some more info:
I reset my trip right before my first session out, and at the end of the day, i had put 128 miles on my car. Thats some searious hard miles, i averaged 6mpg.
I also hit 150mph in the main straight (at least thats what my speedo said)
I did about a 2min 42sec lap time and thats with those added cones to slow people down on turn 8. (according to the in-car video)
Cost for this one day event:
Registration: $220
Gas for truck: $94
Race Gas for Car: $58.50
Pump gas for car: $35.00
Rotors: $175 (prorated, $350 for a new set, and i should be able to get one more high speed event on these rotors.)
Race brake pads: $115
Hotel: $50 (Split cost)
TOTAL $747.50
Does not include tires or food. I'd say i should be just under the $1000 mark total.

Real question is those, did you have fun wasting those v8's with your lil ol' 16 valve? :D

You know... If you had a bigger turbo you could have passed them in the straight ;)

Negative, I would then lose them on corner exits

I think you could go a little bigger than the t-28. This turbo would be perfect:

Its basiclly the same turbo as my L1R.

I cant view it :(
You could go a little bigger and not lose much on exists.. You dont have to go HUGE! just bigger ;)
What are you running right now anyways? turbo size? boost?
Lose them on the corner exits? HA! Just put it in one gear lower!
Even with my GT42. I could road race it and it wasnt "laggy". Just had to keep the RPMs over 6500 and as soon as I punched the gas I would be sitting at a happy 42psi. :D
Got pretty crazy on some of the back roads around here as the thing would just slide sideways exiting on some of the turns.
Between turn 3 and 4 is my favorite straight. I drive on the track every year for the LeMans race. Spectator cruise or whatever they call it. For $50 you get 5 laps and 2 years ago I was last and got to play catch up. 160mph on the back stretch is fucking awesome. Never got to top out on the main straight away though.
Shit, $220 isnt bad at all... I might have to do this next year. I love that track and if I could actually try to "race" on it, that would make it even better. Hmm, maybe I dont want to build a stroker after all.
Jaren I want my motor back! hahaha
Looks like it was a good time. I'm definitely going to have to try this next year! Give ya some competition. :)

I think the ideal setup would be a BB 50 trim with a stroker motor.
Also check out this in car video of a modded NSK chasing me, he thought it was cool how i "drift" around turn 5.

I was looking on FP's website a few weeks ago and saw that turbo. Your right, it would be a great turbo for road-racing. I am very curious to see how your L1R spools

I believe FP stopped selling that turbo a few years ago, maybe I'm wrong? I am very curious as how that L1R will perform as well. Keep an eye out for a good deal on a external o2 setup, as that is the main thing stopping me from installing that turbo.

Mmm, i just checked forced performance and they dont have that turbo anymore, not sure what turbo i was looking at, but it was a smaller BB turbo. Maybe i was looking at a different site.

To my knowledge the FP3150 is the smallest BB they offer. I think the only thing that is still available that would be close to the L1R is the SBR GT10, not sure if anyone else offers an equivalent.

SBR GT10,

Have you talked to the guy that has the FP2544? It looks like the thread isn't going anywhere. You should pick that thing up, you don't find them very often. Did you see tchrgdtalon's comment in that thread:
"Just for a clarifacation, it is a 20g sized wheel at 44lbs/min.
I also have datalogs showing 21psi by 2700 rpm with this same turbo. It was awesome."
:eek:I bet you could pm him and get those logs.

The guy with the turbo or the one with the logs? I was going to ask the guy for logs but I'll have my own soon enough.

Basically an identical copy. I'm pretty sure they both use the same wheels, housings and center cartridges. Only difference was that one was built by FP and one by AGP, different companies assembling the same parts.

Now that I think of it, they may have each made their own turbine housing, although both were very similar. If anything the FP is probably a bit better.
