The latest in ECU flash news is the new tephra v7 mod. I had his v5 mod on my last 03 evo and it worked out great. The new tephra v7 mod has some nifty difty controls and such.

take a look at the mod options list:

I havent downloaded the new tephra ROM to my ecu yet. Maybe tonight I'll get a chance to test it out.

I've been running one of the earlier release candidates for over a month now and it is great. The gear/rpm dependent boost is what really makes me happy with my fwd. Other than that I don't use many of the other options, cel on knock and valet mode are about it but I did play around with launch maps and altmaps. At some point I'll reactivate them so that I can launch with a little bit less stress on my end clutches and diff but still have boost at the line.

Honestly just as exciting is the new definitions packaging that they are working on so that guys don't have to do as much work to get their roms set up the way they want.

Also if you haven't looked at it and played with it the speed density patch is fun, I didn't particularly need it but my car is way more fun to drive now that it has no liftoff jerk or knock.

Yes, that is what you need and at a decent price.

If you ever have any intention of flashing H8 ecus (98/99 dsm) then you might consider spending the extra money for an openport 2.0 cable, if you're only flashing the evo then stick with the 1.3 for less money.
