3rd Annual Wisconsin DSM-Meet
& Auto-X Shootout, June 22nd 2008

What: The 3rd annual Wisconsin DSM-Meet and DSM Auto-X Shootout. Food & Drinks, DSM Car Show, and Auto-X.
Who: Any and every DSM, Other Mitsu’s are MORE than welcome to join as well as any make/model car.
Where: Marshfield Super Speedway in Marshfield WI.
When: Sunday, June 22nd 2008. I've talked to many others and many are going to stay the night saturday night. Tents are welcome at my place.
Why: For Fun! And also to bring more DSM’s into the road-race/auto-x scene!

Cost: Special DSM pricing for Auto-X is $25. DSM Car Show is FREE, Food and drinks will be donation only.

What is auto-crossing?.....
Auto-crossing is a form of MotorSports competition that emphasizes driving skill and handling through a course designated by traffic cones on a low hazard location such as a parking lot or race track. Cars go through the course one at a time and are electronically timed. There are various classes of cars based on a performance level. Classes range from stock to modified to purpose built racecars. While speeds are no greater than 70mph, the combination of concentration and car feedback create an adrenalin pumping experience.

Required for participants (and riders) in the auto-X:
-Car must past tech (battery is tied down, wheels on tight, ect…)
-DOT approved helmet
-18 years of age and older or parent present and signed form

Anybody got a set of wheels and tires that they'll let me throw on my car to run this? Other wise cant wait for this, I kind of liked the auto-x a seperate weekend from the meet, but who knows I might like it this way

Yes, saturday night prior to the meet there will be a camp out in my back yard. A bunch of chi-townDSM.com guys are coming down saturday afternoon and gonna have a cookout and stuff. everyone is welcome to stop over.

First, I will stuff myself will pancakes and eggs at the dairy breakfast. Then I will eat strawberries and Strarberry shortcake in Waupaca. Then I will have to eat some hamburgers & hotdogs at the cookout.....better wear pants with an elastic waist;).

I also have the trailer which has 2 3500lb axles and trailer brakes. Hopefully that will work.

Well, the weather forcast is for scattered T-storms saturday afternoon. This event is a Rain or Shine event... so if it's too wet to cook out at bukolt, i will offer the use of my "super secret crack-house" down in Plover for everyone to hang out inside of. we can even cookout in there if someone brings a grill.

as for overnight accomodations... if anyone coming from far away needs a place to crash Saturday night, let me know ahead of time and i'll clean up the basement for some sleepingbags at least, or bring a tent... i got enough yard space too.

Picture of my "crack-house" in plover... it's big enough to hang out in... and if i clean it, we can probably fit most of our cars inside too if we're careful! ha
and yes, the truck pulling the trailer is FULLY inside as well... we've got enough room to hang out in... some of the cars and boat are already out of there as well... lots-o-space!

Well, so far this is the agenda:

saturday:
3-6pm: people meeting over at my place
6pm: Cookout at Bukolt Park in Stevens Point WI.
10pm: Cruise downtown, check out the local car scene, maybe even have a few matchups :rolleyes:
Whenever: Go to bed (more than welcome to bring a tent or find a place to sleep on the floor or whatever)

Sunday:
10am: Auto-X Registration Starts.
11:40: drivers Meeting
12:00: First car out

Burgers Served throughout the day! There will be a DSM-car-show section for those note competing in the auto-x event.

Cost: $35. $25 for FVSCC members.
Registration opens at 10am and closes at 11am.
Drivers meeting 11:40am.
First car out - Noon.

Powder-puff will be run after timed runs end.
$10 IROC races will follow powder puff.

Your fast run was actually your 3rd and 4th official runs. Your first two runs were the runs that counted towards the official powderpuff competititon. Going off the first 2 runs of each girl, JAMIE won the powderpuff. At least that is what he had on the score sheet.

Well, I talked to Tom at volleyball last night, I only actually had 3 TIMED runs in the accord because on my second run, Joel never looked at the display and didn't write down a time so he told me that I would have to go again but Lindsey was already in the car. So after a little bit I walked over and said that I was gonna take my last run and there was now a second time in the column, he wrote someone else's time in my spot, so he crossed it out and then I did the 66 run. They thought that something was wrong with the timer and told me to go again. I got a 65. That's fine if Jamie won, I'm just telling you what actually happened.
