i have a 1991 tsi talon awd and i just bought the var today and it wont rev or drive past 3000rpm any ideas????

boost leak or a bad ecu. my top 2 guesses. do a boost leak test and or pull the ecu and look for leaky capacitors.

Low compression. Shitty plugs and wires.

could be boost leak(big), somthing unpluged!, cas sensor , coils,......ecu....list could go on

if it idles fine, i'd say boost leak for sure.
if it doesnt idle smooth, i'd still do a boost leak test and tighten everything up, but i'd say the problem is elsewhere then.

its not ecu ur car shouldnt run at all id check maf sensor or knock sensor mine wouldnt go over 3 when my knock sensor wasnt pluged in (4got about it)

not boost leak either cuz it stilll should go over 3000 just no boost help

Not a for sure but when my car is in economy mode and i floor it it doesnt go over 3000. so that could be, not switching in and out of economy and power modes. like i said probably not right and i am probably making a fool of my self but its just a guess!!
