I was under the impression that as long as nothing abstructs the view you are legal. I am not sure though. I can tell you i have drove without a hood before, but not for very long

I've done it too.... If my memory serves me right, my friend got pulled over with an S-10 without a hood, but nothing came of it. I'm sure if you can make up a nice story for the officer he/she won't be a cock about it.

not much good would come from not having a hood. not very aerodynamic... maybe good for 0-35ish but after that is going to fuck with how the air flows

I am pretty sure you can drive without a hood but you have to have hood hinges. Don't ask why.
