i have a 93 gs with a 4g63 engine and i dont know if its turbo ready or not.
it runs great but its slower then hell.im assuming somone did an engine swap on it in the past and got a turbo engine without the turbo .
when u step on the gas it will rev up to 7500rpm but it takes awhile to twist up .
so how do i know if its a turbo block?

I don't know of any external differences that you would be able to identify it by.

on the front near the waterpipe/ water pump, their will be a flat spot(on the block) take a razor, scrap it clean , their may be some #s with a T at the end?????? or look threw spark plug hole the tops of pistons, they would have a t on them for sure!(get a boreascope) if your local i have one

The VIN# is casted on the passenger side near the top of the block where the cylinder head mates to it. The 8th digit if "U" means turbo.

Vin # ftw, you could also carfax the vin # on the block to see what it originally is from. But if it matches the car then your probably good.
