There was a thread on these on the Link forum. Didn't get positive reviews, most said to use the stock hydrolic tensioner.
Timing belts stretch/expand over time and through out the RPM range...
Solid tensioner stays put...
That chance for slack in the timing belt, I do not like...
Shep/Rau run OEM tensioners...
OEM = Good enough for me! :D

thats kind of what i thought.
Oem for sure. That is such a stupid idea. Like Jake said belts stretch and the oem tensioner makes up for that unlike that solid one.

These need constant attention and adjustment. That's the reason why most people don't want it. Just putting this info up so some people know that.
