got this cord from a friend of mine and dont know much about the programmers but when i seen this cord i got ideas and dont know what to do now
i figure somone here can tell me if i can use this or not .all i have is the cord and im assmuing all i need is software for my laptop and i can remap the ecu or somthing
let me know any info would help

You might be able to use it for datalogging or something, but you defiantly won't be remapping or tuning with it.

You should be able to use it with any logging program that uses elm232. AFAIK there aren't many but you can use MHIscan (available on the dsmtuners.com forums) mitsuscanner (aktivematrix.com) and several generic obd2 loggers. AFAIK evoscan will not work with this.
2g ecus can be reflashed with an openport 2.0 cable (this is not one) and evo ecus can be reflashed with a taxtrix or openport 1.3/2.0 cable (again that is not one).

again. damnit. thanks i dont knwo anything about any of this crap .i can fix anythig but i have never tried any indepth modding like flashing or tuning. usualy just stupid little stuff like porting and exhaust work
