Anyone have any advice on where to get a (relatively) low priced clutch, but better than stock. I know to avoid eBay, but can't think of any sites other than Andy's Auto Sport to get a clutch. I'm in the <$400 range, preferably around or below $300.

I would suggest this: http://www.maperformance.com/store/product.php?productid=16158&cat=417&page=1
Proven clutch that is in your price range. MAP is in the Twin Cities area, probably have it to you in a day or two, great vendor. I prefer the 2600(I like a heavy clutch), but if your not making a lot of power and want to save some cash go for the 2100.

Just noticed you have to choose the disc you want. Make sure you get one with a sprung hub for a daily driver.

If you don't want to go with ACT, I had a CenterForce Dual Friction clutch in my 2G and I loved it. It's great if you don't make a shit-ton of power, and it's a much lighter pedal.

how much HP do you plan on making? I have a Centerforce dual friction (CFDF) and love it. But if your going to go above 300hp you might want to think ACT 2600 or higher. The CFDF is a really light pedal as stated above. Great for daily driving. I would try to find someone with a clutch you think you may want and take it for a drive(if they will let you) and see how the pedal feels.

Center force is a great clutch that should hold some good power, however they dont hold up to repeated launches like the ACT's do.

I've launch my CFDF a lot with slick! probably 40 time at the track. pretty sure the clutch has around 15,000-20,000 miles on it.
