Ok have a couple questions need some answers.
For an oil feed line for my evo 3 i have a -6 ss line. Would i need a oil restrictor?
Also have been searching everywhere stock 2g injectors are 450cc right?
When i go to break in my motor what would be smarter to use the denso 660s or the stock 2g injectors?
1. Get a -4 feed line.
2. Yes stock injectors are 450's.
3. It would be better to use the 450's until you get the hang of tuning it. You dont want it to be rich and wash off the cylinder walls.

yup, get that engine broken in with stock fuel system, after a few thousand miles then maybe throw the bigger injectors in. what will you be using for tuning?

Don't have the money for -4 line will I be ok with the -6?
Do I need an oil restrictor.

running that much oil at high oil pressure could take out the seals in the turbo. A restrictor may work but i'd wait and pickup a -4an oil feed line. Should be able to pick one up for fairly cheap ($30-40 tops)

Allright so i have a problem. The injectors that i was going to buy fell through.
As for the tuning
Gm maf + Translator
Safc-2
Pc logger
Is there any way i would be able to use my 660s to break in the motor?:(
I might have a set of stockers if you need them. Let me know.
You could use the 660s if you can get the car to run good on them before starting it. You dont want it very rich upon first start up and cruise.

So I can use the 660s if I set everything up right? Set fuel pressure to 43.5psi set up the maft and safc2? Then watch the wideband when I start the car?

You'd be better off breaking a new engine in using the stock injectors and the stock ecu with the SAFC all zero'd out. Or if the SAFC is not installed yet, leave it out for the first thousand miles.

well if its the only set of injectors you have, then you could install them. Just double check you have the SAFC installed correctly and put in the default correction for the 660cc's. If you end up hooking the SAFC up wrong, and your throwing all this extra fuel into the cylinders, you'll wash up the cylinder walls and risk scoring them all up which will lead to excessive blowby.

Just the program? I've used palmenstien (i think thats what its called). I have it downloaded and its free, i can send it to you if you want.
If you have an SAFC, then zero out all the MAF-T settings, and use the SAFC for tuning.

oh, did not know you had a laptop, i used it with a palm m100. I dont use that and havent used it in a long time, DSMlink is much nicer.
with the SAFC, you dont need the MAFT for tuning at all, leave them all at zero. Baseline for the 660 is about -30% fuel correction.

Yeah but link is 5x more expensive.
I didnt know that i could zero out the maft completly.
I just installed the safc-2.
When you say -30% how would i set that up on the safc? (Im reading the instruction manual right now)

Make sure you download this: http://www.dsmsupport.com/DSM_Tuning_Sheet_v2.1.xls
read through that, that will tell you nearly everything you need to know with tuning an SAFC(2)

if your safc is hooked up set all #s to -16 or -18 on high and low should be really close with 660s
